APCL Group Successfully Completes Hattrick of Consecutive Dockings for Subsea7

APCL Group was delighted to welcome three Subsea7 vessels across its facilities between October 2025 and February 2026.

Apprentices across the APCL Group had the opportunity to develop their trade on the projects, including mechanical fitters and health and safety apprentices.

The first vessel to arrive, at APCL A&P Tyne, was Seven Vega for her five-yearly survey. A state-of-the-art Offshore Reel-Lay vessel, Seven Vega is designed to install complex rigid flowlines including pipe-in-pipe systems and electrical trace heating in water depths of up to 3,000 metres.

APCL Cammell Laird welcomed Seven Falcon, one of the most advanced diving vessels in the world. Seven Falcon’s scope of works included the removal and overhaul of two forward bow thruster units including machining of all blades, the removal and overhaul of one Azipull thruster as well as a full paint system carried out by APCL Neway.

Seaway Phoenix arrived at APCL A&P Tyne for main propulsion thruster overhauls, HVAC system renewals, cranes servicing, as well as hull preparation and painting.

Seaway Phoenix is an advanced cable installation, repair and maintenance vessel. It is designed to satisfy cable installation demands of the offshore renewables and oil and gas industries.
