Cammell Laird operates a 24 hour, seven days a week, 365 days a year ship repair facility on the River Mersey.
Our combination of facilities, capabilities, project managers and engineers mean we are available to complete repairs to the full range of vessels - including ferries, tankers, offshore support vessels, dredgers, cargo vessels, jack ups and cruise ships.
Whether the works are scheduled repairs or emergency repairs, Cammell Laird has the capability to deliver all projects ranging from steel work and piping to the most complex electrical and mechanical systems.
Major Programmes.
MV Borealis
MV Borealis visited Cammell Laird’s dock no.5 with the vessel spending two weeks in dry dock for ship repair works.
The MV Borealis, operated by Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, underwent a multi-million pound programme of works including steel repairs, an overhaul of the shafts and propellers as well a new application of underwater paint.
MS Norbank
Cammell Laird welcomed P&O Ferries Norbank into dry dock no.7 in March 2023.
The vessel arrived to the facility for a programme for works including propeller, rudder and stabiliser inspections, cleaning preparation and painting, steelwork repairs and belting renewals.
MS Norbank is a ro-ro freight vessel and operates the Liverpool to Dublin route.
